Emilie Bowerman '23 and Molly Lester, US Naval Academy, will discuss Bowerman's award-winning honors thesis. An info session for the 2024-25 Honors Program in History will follow.
The Department of History is pleased to welcome back Emilie L. Bowerman '23 to be in discussion with Molly Lester, Assistant Professor of Medieval European History, United States Naval Academy, about Bowerman's award-winning honors thesis titled, The Cult of the Cross in the Hispanic Rite, fourth to eighth centuries. Bowerman's thesis won the Peter J. Reichard 1996 Memorial Research Award for best honors thesis in History and the Jonathan B. Rintels Prize for best honors thesis in the Social Sciences.
Following Bowerman and Lester's discussion will be an information session for students interested in applying for the Department of History's 2024-25 honors thesis program.
The event will be held in the Wren Room, Sanborn 104 (across the hall from Sanborn Library) and is made possible by the Robert F. Allabough Memorial Fund.
