Join us on Tuesday, June 18 at 12:00 p.m. ET for our next Dartmouth Book Club virtual event featuring On Juneteenth. The event includes a recorded conversation with book author Annette Gordon Reed ’81, Professor at Harvard University and Dartmouth College Trustee Emerita, in conversation with Dartmouth professor and historian Matt Delmont

Learn about the country’s long road to Juneteenth, why it’s important today, from its origins in Texas and how it informs our society and culture in the 21st century.

This will be followed by moderated breakout discussion groups with fellow participants to explore the book and the concept of the holiday.
