Walker is author of Waking from the Dream: Mexico's Middle Class after 1968 (Stanford University Press, 2013) and co-editor of Latin America's Middle Class: Unsettled Debates and New Histories (Roman and Littlefield, 2013). She also co-edited "Spy Reports: Content, Methodology, and Historiography in Mexico's Secret Police Archive" a special issue of the Journal of Iberian and Latin American Research (2013, vol. 19, no. 1).
